Newborn Photography in Sacramento

That’s completely normal! All of our sessions are baby-led, meaning we take breaks as needed for feeding, soothing, and cuddles. We are highly experienced with newborns and how to gently work with your baby at their own pace to keep the experience calm and positive.

Of course! Feeding and changing are part of the process, and we allow plenty of time for those breaks. Our newborn studio is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable session—for both baby and parents.

We’ve got everything covered. Our studio includes a beautifully curated collection of wraps, headbands, hats, blankets, and props. However, we’re always happy to incorporate sentimental items you bring from home—such as heirloom blankets or special outfits.

You’ll typically receive your images 7–10 business days of your session. If you choose to upgrade to your full image gallery, then we expedite the image delivery to 2-3 days.

Taking video of the photoshoot is very popular! If you would like to take photos and videos during your session, we invite you to upgrade to your full digital image gallery upfront. Otherwise, no images or videos are allowed.

Many photographers recommend photos between 5 and 14 days for those classic sleepy, curled-up poses—but at LaLa Photography Sacramento, we’re trained and equipped to photograph babies at any age during the first 6 months. In fact, many of our clients choose to wait until 8–12 weeks when babies start to smile, make eye contact, and stay alert longer. Whatever stage your baby is in, we’ll tailor the session to their needs and capture beautiful, meaningful portraits.

Yes! Both our Newborn Petite and Newborn Classic sessions include time for parents and siblings. These portraits are a special part of telling your family’s story, and we love including everyone.
