We've built our maternity sessions around the way most moms-to-be actually want this to feel: calm, unrushed, beautifully lit, and shaped around your body and your family. Choose the in-studio session for our wardrobe of gowns and controlled light. Choose on-location for the warmth of a Folsom-area outdoor setting. Or bundle with your newborn session for matching tones across both shoots — and a real savings.

Our Folsom studio has a private space dedicated to maternity and newborn clients, with big windows and soft natural light that flatters every body and every belly, a wardrobe of maternity gowns in a range of colors and styles, and our signature Dreamlight backdrops for a timeless, editorial look.

You don't need to know how to pose or what to do — we guide you every step of the way. From the moment you walk in, we make it easy, comfortable, and all about you. Your partner and kids are welcome in the frame, and you just show up while we take care of the rest. You leave with warm, true-to-skin portraits of the way you held your belly when you thought no one was watching — the moments a phone camera never quite catches.

After your shoot

How do I get my photos?

Your session fee includes the shoot and a set of edited digital images. To see the rest of your gallery and choose your favorites, there are two ways to go.

Come in for a viewing

All sessions require a classic viewing session, booked 4–10 days after your shoot, to proof your photos and make your selections.

Online galleries are not available — selections are made in person at your viewing session. Your viewing is at our Folsom studio — even if your session was on location.

Cancellation policy

All fees are non-refundable, but transferable if rescheduled 48 hours prior to your session. Sessions rescheduled within 48 hours are subject to a $25 service fee. Please call 916-280-5013 to reschedule your session.

Maternity Photoshoot FAQ

When's the best time to book my maternity session?

Between 30 and 36 weeks is the sweet spot — your belly is beautifully round, and you're still comfortable enough to enjoy the session.

What should I wear? Do you have maternity gowns?

For in-studio sessions we have a maternity gown wardrobe in many colors and styles — choose up to 3. For on-location, you're welcome to bring a flowy dress that photographs beautifully outdoors, or ask in advance about borrowing one of our maternity gowns for your shoot.

Can my partner and other kids be in the photos?

Yes — up to 6 people are included, in studio and on location. Partner, siblings, even grandparents if they're part of the moment. There's nothing more precious than a soon-to-be big brother or sister cuddling your belly.

What's the difference between in-studio and on-location?

In-studio gives you climate control, our gown wardrobe, and a wide range of backdrops. On-location gives you a Folsom-area outdoor setting and natural light, and runs a little longer since the photographer travels to you.

Is there a package deal with a newborn session?

Yes — the Bump + Baby Bundle pairs your studio maternity session with a Newborn Petite, planned together so the two shoots share a color story and look amazing side by side on your walls, at a savings versus booking separately.
