Not every memory needs a full session. Mini sessions are built to be quick, playful, and easy on the budget — a short shoot, a few beautiful digital images, and a themed set that changes with the season.

We run new minis all year long: holiday and seasonal favorites, playful studio sets, and outdoor location minis when the light is just right. Many themes return year after year, and new ones drop all the time — so whether it's a Valentine's set, a back-to-school look, or a holiday classic, there's almost always something open. Slots are limited and themes rotate fast, so the rule of thumb is simple: when you see one you love, grab it.

Short on time, big on fun

A mini session is exactly what it sounds like — a shorter, lower-cost shoot designed to grab a moment without the full production. You're in and out quickly, there's no styling homework, and you walk away with a few images you'll love. They're perfect for busy families, quick seasonal updates, or just because.

Themes rotate constantly between playful studio sets and outdoor location minis, and slots are capped so each session stays relaxed. New sets and seasonal favorites are released throughout the year — follow along or check the booking page often so you don't miss the ones you want. How you'll pick your favorites depends on the mini — each one's booking page spells out exactly what's included.

Your images may be used in LaLa's holiday marketing — that's the model-call trade.
Session fee is non-refundable. Changes need 48 hours' notice by phone.
Up to 3 children per slot. Larger groups book two slots; galleries aren't combined.
Outfits must coordinate with the holiday theme — we don't provide them.
No dogs for in-studio sessions.

August 31 and September 3–6 at the Folsom studio — limited slots. The session fee is non-refundable; changes need 48 hours' notice by phone. Please arrive on time, as late arrivals lose that time from the session.

Sessions start 10 minutes apart so your photographer can move between stations; your shoot runs about 20 minutes.

After your shoot

How do I get my photos?

Your session fee includes the shoot and a set of edited digital images. To see the rest of your gallery and choose your favorites, there are two ways to go.

Come in for a viewing

All sessions require a classic viewing session, booked 4–10 days after your shoot, to proof your photos and make your selections.

Online galleries are not available — selections are made in person at your viewing session. Your viewing is at our Folsom studio — even if your session was on location.

Cancellation policy

All fees are non-refundable, but transferable if rescheduled 48 hours prior to your session. Sessions rescheduled within 48 hours are subject to a $25 service fee. Please call 916-280-5013 to reschedule your session.
